About Anivasi

Who We Are

Anivasi is a dedicated group of individuals originally from Molkod, now residing outside the area for various reasons. We formed this group with a limit of 10 members, each committed to contributing a set amount annually for the next three years. This fund is specifically used to organize competitions and activities that promote Hindu Dharma, particularly the traditions associated with Mukhyaprana Temple. Every member is fully aware of their annual contribution, and we ensure transparency in all financial dealings.

Our approach to this group is one of dedication and selfless giving. Members view their contributions as a yajna (sacred offering) and each donation as an ahuti (sacrificial offering), following a “give and forget” philosophy (Idam Dattam Namama) to prevent any misunderstandings about finances. Each member is involved in every aspect of the group’s activities, ensuring they are informed of how and where funds are utilized.

Our Commitment

We pledge to hold 5-7 competitions over the next three years, along with 1–3 workshops to deepen engagement with our community and heritage.

Our Commitment to Accountability and Evaluation:

We are dedicated to documenting each competition, producing a written report that captures the outcomes and learnings from each event. Following each activity, we conduct a thorough financial review, ensuring transparency and tracking each member’s contribution. No member is expected to exceed the initially agreed amount.

Our group operates on a three-year cycle, beginning from Ganesh Chaturthi 2024 and running through Ganesh Chaturthi 2027. At the end of this period, during the annual Vanabhojan, we gather to review feedback, evaluate our impact, and decide if we will continue for another three years. This meeting also provides an opportunity to refresh the group, ensuring it does not exceed 10 members. If additional people wish to participate, we encourage the formation of new groups to pursue other initiatives.

Guidelines for Organizing Competitions/Programs

Each competition or program should adhere to the following guidelines to ensure clarity, fairness, and engagement.

  1. Intention/Purpose
    • Clear Goals: Organizers should have a clear objective for each activity. While this doesn’t need to be shared with participants beforehand, it should be documented as part of the post-event report.
    • Target Audience: Define the audience for each activity, such as devotees, children, elders, women, or specific demographic groups.
  2. Structure/Format
    • Rules and Guidelines: Establish transparent rules that outline how participants will compete, submission formats, and deadlines.
    • Categories/Levels: Create levels or categories that suit various skill sets, ages, or expertise levels.
    • Duration: Define timelines, submission deadlines, and stages for the competition.
  3. Outcome
    • Judging Criteria: Set clear evaluation metrics, considering factors like creativity, technical skill, impact, or relevance to the theme.
    • Scoring System: Use a fair and transparent scoring system for objective judgment.
    • Prizes and Recognition: Offer both tangible rewards, such as certificates, scholarships, or monetary awards, and intangible recognition, like titles or media mentions.
  4. Engagement
    • Promotion: Plan outreach strategies to attract participants and an audience, such as using social media, forming partnerships, or engaging in community outreach.
    • Participant Support: Offer resources, mentorship, or workshops to help participants prepare and succeed.
  5. Logistics
    • Venue (if physical): Arrange suitable spaces for hosting the event, most of which will take place at Molkod Temple
      premises.
    • Technology: Identify and set up any digital platforms or tools necessary for conducting the competition, especially if held online.
  6. Feedback and Improvement
    • Participant Feedback: Allow participants to seek feedback on their performance, creating a channel for improvement.
    • Post-Competition Analysis: Review each event to pinpoint areas for enhancement in future activities.
  7. Inclusivity and Accessibility
    • Diversity: Ensure competitions are inclusive and open to diverse participants.
    • Accessibility: Make each competition accessible to everyone, regardless of location, financial limitations, or disabilities.

Following these guidelines will help ensure that each event runs smoothly, achieves its intended purpose, and provides a rewarding experience for participants and organizers alike.
